Today I read about a social experiment conducted by the Washington Post in 2007.  Its purpose was to test whether or not people would recognize extrodinary beauty in ordinary situations.   It made me wonder if I would have stopped and enjoyed the moment or been one of the many who were totally unaware of what they had missed.

So in the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, "Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything that is beautiful; for beauty is God's handwriting - a wayside sacrament. Welcome it in every fair face, in every fair sky, in every fair flower, and thank God for it as a cup of blessing. "
